This tour is an absolutely fantastic way to experience not only fantastic sights, but also learn more about the history and culture of Thailand! After departing from the cruise port, you'll then head to the first stop on this marvellous journey and the official residence of the King of Thailand, The Grand Palace.
Nowadays it is reserved mostly for ceremonial and official functions, with the Monarch residing now in the Chitralada Palace. Not that detracts in any way from the sheer majesty of the Grand Palace. During your tour of the Palace you'll soon realise just why it’s so popular with tourists. You'll see such sights as the Thorn Halls, the Thai Silk Museum and the Palace's courtyard.
Following on from this, you'll then head to the Emerald Buddha Temple. This is a truly amazing place to be, words really cannot describe the awe you'll feel as you look upon the Emerald Buddha Statue itself. Once you've managed to tear yourself away from this glorious sight, you'll then make your way to Wat Po. Here, you'll be able to look upon another Buddha statue, the Reclining Buddha, as well as the Thai Massage Origin Wall Decoration. This tour is not to be missed!
At the end of the tour, you'll be returned back to the port with plenty of time in advance before your departure.
