Chiang Mai Accommodation Check-Out (B) Today you will have the chance to get to know Chiang Mai on a day trip around the city. Your day will begin with a scenic songthaew (traditional public bus) along Suthep Road with a stop at the Kad Ton Payom flea market, famous for its mouth-watering cuisine characteristic of northern Thailand. We will enjoy a delicious traditional Chiang Mai-style breakfast and have the opportunity to earn our merit with local monks by offering them alms. Our trip will then continue on to the 600-year-old Wat U-Mong temple known for its peaceful atmosphere, mysterious underground tunnel and large painted pagoda. Walk around the grounds to contemplate life and learn a little bit about Buddhism. Our next stop will be Wat Suan Dok temple where we can take a peek in to the lives of modern monks and possibly learn a little bit about basic meditation techniques. End the day by making an offering to the Sangkha and then return to Chiang Mai where you will be dropped off at your accommodation. Your trip will come to an end upon arrival.
